Skiing in Midway

So we were able to spend some time with Tara, Ryan, and Lilli last weekend in Midway. We took the girls on a little ski while enjoying some time together.

Grandma Celeste had given Kaia animal crackers the day before and she loved them.

The age gap between Kaia and Lilli is cshrinking and they are able to play together a little more. It's awesome!

Lucky girls with their FUN dads.

Sliding down the embankment with a little help from their dads. I told you They're fun. :)

A Day in the Life

So my dad called last night to give me a piece of his mind. He couldn't believe we updated the blog with a post that did not have any pictures of Kaia Abbey. So here you go dad...

Kaia has figured out how to do many things. And she continues to figure more out each day. Here she is playing with radio. She has discovered the knobs and loves adjusting the volume. She gets the music going and starts dancing. It's pretty cute.

She has also figured out how to get up on the couch, although she hasn't yet figured out how to get down. Not as cool.

Here you can see her busted up nose from taking a header off of our friends' couch.

She can sit at the table and color. Here she is being very sneaky hiding her crayons.

Not so happy about her breakfast.

Kaia Centered

So our blog is VERY Kaia centered. I feel we come by it honestly considering she amazes us every day. However, there are other important people in our lives and Paul and I do have lives. So I would like to take this moment to talk about people other than Kaia.

Welcome to the world Gabriel Shane Thompson! We can't wait to meet you! Our nephew was born December 6th and we had been planning to go to Dallas this weekend to meet him. Unfortunately the airlines did not cooperate with our plan and we are in the inverted valley of Salt Lake City. I had to steal a picture from Bec and Chris's flicker site. Isn't he cute!

We had a few friends over for the Utes Bowl Game against Alabama. Utah was AWESOME and secured their position as Undefeated Champions. As a result of the win our friend Todd had his head shaved.

Here he is midway through with a mohawk of sorts.

And after, lookin' hot.
Finally, I went to a Gallery Stroll at Utah Artist Hands with Julie and Kim last night. After an epic adventure trying to find a place to park amidst the downtown construction we were able to enjoy some fabulous art, wine, and cheese. All of the artists presented in the gallery are from Utah. My favorite artist is Julie of course. Here is the bowl I bought from her last night.

She also does magnets, ornaments, necklaces, picture frames, and has some very cool paintings. You can check out her work and other local Utah artists at: www.utahands.com. Enjoy!
