Castle Peak Yurt

The first weekend of March Paul, Lauren, Greg, and I skied into the Castle Peak Yurt. It had just dumped snow making for a very beautiful, but long ski in. We were rewarded with a wood stove sauna that was so cool that Paul and I are already plotting our own version for our backyard. The yurt itself was alright with a lame stove that never really warmed the place up and decent skiing. Regardless, fun was had by all.

Untracked snow on the ski in.

The yurt. You can see the dome, solar panel, and sauna.Lauren chopping wood. We ended up chopping a lot of wood which kept us warmer than the stove. Hmmm...

Ok, I LOVE this picture. Paul and I are inside the sauna. Lauren is outside using her body to create a shadow. I think it turned out great.

Paul pondering life with a nice mug of wine. In the sauna of course.
Fresh tracks.

Sorry, no pictures of Kaia. She was spending the long weekend with Grandpa Mike and Grandma Jenny. (Yes, we are very fortunate and truly appreciative for the time we still get to spend together as a couple. Thank you! Thank you!)
